Activities Committee

Mika.jpgHey guys! My name is Mike, Im a 24 year old master student from Copenhagen University and I’ve been on exchange here in Amsterdam since August 2010. I have a background in pharmacy and am currently doing my Msc in drug discovery. I joined the activities commitee to arrange many fun, silly and diverse events for internationals and Dutch students alike. I’ve had an amazing experience here in Holland much thanks to the ESN team and hopefully I can do help do the same for you by being a part of ESN. I enjoy coordinating events and have been active with the international office of my former University since 2008. In my free time I love to travel and explore the world.

Hope I’ll see you at the very next event (of many!)

Apologies in advance for the pic, it’s the only normal/sane picture I have saved!

Age: 21

Studying: English Literature

I arrived here in Amsterdam late last August, and it did not take me long to find ESN and its wonderful committee. I had such a good time in my first semester that I decided to join the activities committee and help bring some new and exciting events to other students studying at the VU. Back in England, I volunteered with young people teaching in schools, youth clubs and helping out on group expeditions. As the degree title states, I am a bit of a bookworm, it comes with the territory I guess, but my other interests include women’s rugby (huge huge passion of mine), the outdoors, camping, teaching English as a foreign language and travel!
